Whilst my wife was visiting a friend, another (to her unknown) friend dropped in. She brought with her a 1 meter sturgeon(!). To share it with her friend for New Year.
The great thing of Russian friends is - no matter how special, exclusive or expensive something is: they will share it with you. So my wife came home with a big chunk of this fresh, smoked sturgeon. Thank you Vika, our dinner was perfect yesterday evening!
The sturgeon, famous for its black caviar, came from the Rostov region, southern Russia, 1100km travel from Moscow.
